The clock is near striking distance of 11am. A mid day post and the day is moving along at a productive pace. This weekend I have been able to finalize 'rough cuts' of a good deal of images for Mexico. Hoping to print a few tomorrow morning and then make any final adjustments that may be needed. At which point they will be available for viewing.
I am nearing completion of the first 'box' in a series of 6 that now exist as artist renderings on a yellow paged, blue lined legal pad. I am excited about seeing these come to fruit. The conceptual points available for these boxes continues to grow within me.
With that, I am off to the studio- out of my regular schedule, who knows, perhaps I'll run into other Roots, such as Briget or JeanGray...creating at the SMR Studios at the Emanaul Arts Council building.
peace- peace. peace.

crystals fail, and liquids slip. the moist air fills my lungs.

Another day of living. This morning the sun hung in the sky, the lower two thirds covered by dense grey clouds...the exposed upper third a glowing ember. This evening the sky is work of furious hands, moving heavily with pastel laden fingers, pushing and smearing color. and then there was twilight.
Is pluto a planet or a plutoid? When is aggression ethical?

The fall is here, and as leaves will soon begin their downward journey, the sap will thicken in the trees and the art will flow once again. A few exhibitions are already lining up: the possibility of StillmoreRoots at 114 W. Main in Swainsboro, GA this September, The Emanuel Artist Guild Exhibtion this September in Swainsboro, GA, a solo exhibition at 114 W. Main during the month of October, the Arts Emanuel Festival in Swainsboro, GA in September.
The printing process for the Oaxaca images has slowed due to a discrepensy between the monitor and the printer on color distribution.
More later. Meeting time.

Oaxaca, Mexico. The trip was great. Dad and I found our way into, around and back out of Mexico and managed to have a great time doing it. We traveled from Miami, to Mexico city, to Oaxaca city...and then meandered our way towards Puerto Angel, next finding ourselves at Puerto Escondido and then on a return to Oaxaca City to begin the journey home. Images should be popping up soon. I was able to bring back a video made by students/professors that documented the mistreatment they are suffering during their protests- I am working on a way to post that to the site- there is more to come. stay tuned.

Henry Ford has failed us, the Industrial Revoluion has revealed itself as a dozen coiled rattlers, tucked neatly in a well wrapped package, complete with a ribbon and name tag. Without questioning the outcome or the sender, we simply opened the gift. Which has led us to our current state. A government no longer controlled by the We The People, a government instead, controlled by big business- who guides our nation with a lack of moral ethics and social justice.
