Journal: August 2005 Archives
The creative process is happening- it all seems to be taking place at once and at a very rapid pace.
Update for all participating:
I am focused on creating the cards.
They will each be individual works.
They will take longer than I thought with this approach.
I will send them in the order I received requests:
The first will be mailed tomorrow.
More to come.
Thank you to everyone that was able to attend the Faculty Exhibition at the Averitt Art Center. The night was full of art and conversation, a gathering of eclectic creative souls, viewing, discussing, and living art. I have uploaded new images to the Botanical Series. The Orchid Cards/Stamps are still here on my desk, half created, half still a thought, existing as part of the global conciousness, waiting to be plucked and translated into card with a stamp that will then journey to distant lands and close neighbors. I am still working on the Constitution piece, as part of the Articles of Nation series. I plan on having the work finished in time for the Emanuel Arts Guild Exhibition in October at the Kalmanson Gallery. I also submitted a work to a Nature and the Arts exhibition in South Korea. May you awake smiling in the morning.
Tonight, at the Averitt Center for the Arts, The Faculty Show opens featuring works by the art faculty in Bulloch and the surrounding counties. I have contributed two pieces to the exhibition. The show opens at 7pm at the Averitt Center.
Hope to see you there.
I will also be donating a work to be given away by the Emanuel Arts Council at the ArtsEmanuel Festival on October 1. Everyone signing up for membership into the Emanuel Arts Council will be entered into the drawing for one of several prizes being offered.

Orientation at the College has been keeping quite busy for the past two weeks. I am still here, still creating, still thinking- Desmundo.com shall be back in the regular swing of things in the next week or so. Thank you all for reading, and most importantly for thinking.
P.S.- I have worked The Exquisite Corpse into orientation. If you have never played before, I suggest looking it up. It has produced some very interesting works.
