the spiders web glistens, covered with drops of morning dew

Greetings, the hiatus is no more. The move has happened, the studio is partially set up, and the phone lines were installed yesterday. As for catching up, it has been so long I am unsure as to where I would need to begin; so I will start fresh...a new morning.
I'll be posting more images related to the stones project as the stones have continued to arrive. The collaboration has been such a beautiful process. Thank you all for your efforts in making that installation come into being. It shall continue next year, opening again for Art In The Woods 2008.
I am unsure how that will unravel as I am such a beleiver in the constant creation of new work. A drive to provide the viewer with a new experience, I suppose that with the Stones Collaboration, the work shall evolve...more stones, more people, more connections, more images...a broader experience provided to the viewer.
As always, there are more art events happening in Swainsboro, Georgia. Gallery RFD will be hosting the monthly Gallery Stroll in downtown. The exhibition hanging at RFD is a photo oriented exhibition- a piece from the Imperfect Balance series will be included in the exhibition. Candy Powers and Joan Dunn will be exhibiting work at Jacks Java Cove, Eilean Dudley will be exhibiting at the Kalmonson Gallery and the Emanuel Artist Guild will be exhibiting at Brantley's Billiards. Come on out and view the work, join us in Swainsboro's cultural revolution. An uprising of the arts in rural Georgia.
Mark your calendars, I have recently secured exhibitions in October and November, the first being at Jacks Java Cove in Swainsboro, the latter being Middle Georgia College in Cochran. I am looking forward to both exhibitions, as of now it's looking like Middle Georgia will be a series of paintings I am working on and Jacks, well, Jacks is up in the air right now. But none the less, I am stoked about the oppurtunity. Also, I would like to do a few home shows this summer. I love the idea of one nite openings in peoples homes- I have been thinking of making this happen for some time but have yet to act on it. If you might be interested in hosting a home show please let me know. There is potential for a wonderful viewing experience in that environment.
It is time to get back to the process...
