Falling through fall...

The length of fall seems to have been prolonged with a possibility of pushing through into spring. My plants are confused, having been pulled inside to avoid a lone frost, now stuck gazing out the windows at trees still bearing leaves and lantanas still in bloom. The colors have been spectacular though. The foilage is brilliant. As leaves linger and color spreads, trees have taken on entirely new personas...standing, covered in yellow in the midst of green pines. Or pushing through in a rust colored red, standing isolated against the evergreens.

Yellow.
Red. the lone leaf lingers...
