Minimalism

| | Comments (0)

Minimalism- if there were a movement to describe my recent posting- minimalism would have to be it. Spring has sprung and I find myself outdoors with the plants much more than indoors with the computer in these recent weeks. The pepper plants have peppers on them, the tomato plants have blossoms, and the gourd seeds have sprouted. The coffee plant is putting on new leaves- the lime tree is covered in white flowers and the patchouli plant is making a tremendous comeback. The lantanas have returned from last year- already covered in blooms; I keep adding petunias to the flowerbeds- filling the empty space and the sunflower seeds have now have three sets of leaves on them. Although, this week of gray days and chilly weather certainly has the garden and myself craving some sunshine. In an attempt to thwart the goodmany catepillars that like to make short note of my 'mater plants I am growing all my veggies in terra cotta this year- placed on the patio in hopes discouraging those hungry beasts from locking thier mandibles around those tender 'mater limbs.
Summer also brings dreams of traveling. Which I am hoping to do. Sooner rather than later but I'll settle for the latter if the beforementioned does not prevail first. Speaking of which- those of you with the traveling bug may want to check this site out: http://douweosinga.com/projects/visitedcountries

create your own visited countries map
or vertaling Duits Nederlands
It'll allow you to make a map like so and realize just how much more traveling you have to do- wow, the world is an awesome place- get out there and see some of it!

On other fronts- the StillmoreRoots group will be hosting our first ever Fundraising Crouquet Tourny-
to raise money for our Summer Art Camp for Kids- Feel free to join in or sponsor a StillmoreRoot player! The cost is $15 and sponsorship or entry.

The StillmoreRoots also have another art exhibition on the Horizon- June in Louiseville, Ga. I will be creating more of those mysterious boxes with contents safely gaurded inside. Hmmmm....

I have been working on some black and white photographs as well- I ran into a small glitch yesterday in printing, so I will not be posting them until all the kinks are worked out. I will be attempting to keep the site as current as possible during these summer months- hopefully I will be able to add some adventure in their to keep it exciting!
Stay well-
peace to all.
