The posts have been few and far between. However, like the rise and fall of the tide, one substance is replaced with another. The writing and creating taking the place of the water and sand.
I have nearly finished a set of postcards that are long overdue to a few requests that have been waiting patiently for them to be dropped in the postal box. I am pleased with the new direction the cards have taken and hope that those of you on the recieving end will be happy unpon their arrival. I picked up a page of constellation stamps from the post office this morning and am already looking forward to creating postcards to accompany them to far away destinations. I have finished several more sketches to be included in the new body of work themed on America. The achromatic gray paintings are still in the making. I have added work the Botanical Series and have also included a new study on insects that will be following this post. The insect series has taking me down an interesting road, an exploration of tiny bodies and all the formal elements that make them so interesting...not even breaking the ice of the conceptual elements that could accompany them. I have also compiled a small body of images for the Portal Exhibition around the corner. Stay well, stay focused.
